Do you use studio or natural light?

My Newborn portraits are captured using studio lights.

 

Do you take Posed or Lifestyle Portraits?

Newborn sessions are posed and I also capture natural interactions in some sets.

What does ‘Lifestyle Photography’ mean?

Lifestyle Photography is incorporating things that you would typically do. This can be reading your baby a story, burping them, holding them, tickling them etc.

Do I sell digital files on a USB?

I love the fact that I base my business around what ‘I’ would want as a customer. Lots of photographers these days ONLY sell prints, I sell digitals in ALL of my packages. I figure if I just sell you a print and, heaven forbid, your house burns down, those memories will be lost to you forever. Your digital files can be backed up and reprinted as many times as you like for years to come.

Purchasing with me you receive both high resolution and low resolution versions.

What does "low-resolution" mean?

Low-resolution files are digitally compressed files that have been purposely reduced in quality for screen display only. They will appear pixelated when printed. I provide low-resolution files solely for my clients to be able to upload quickly to social media sites such as Facebook, and for sharing electronically with friends and family without losing any quality.

High-resolution files are the files you use for printing your images, any images you purchase with me you will receive in both low and high resolution versions.

Do I sell prints and products?

Yes I do! I believe it is so important for my clients to walk away with more than just a USB of digital files. I love selling digitals but honestly there’s nothing like seeing photos printed, holding them in your hands. There is a sense of ownership, a sense of belonging and an immense sense of love whenever I hold a photo of my babies in my hands and I love that I can give that feeling to you as well.

I wish upon wish I had this opportunity with my baby girls but now I cherish my ability and passion to create a story for you. A story about the most perfect and happiest moments in your life that are delivered in a way you can hold onto forever.

Why do you recommend using a professional print lab?

I have discovered the real value of printing with a professional lab through personal experience.

Commercial outlets such as Kmart, Officeworks, Camera Warehouse, Big W, Harvey Norman often produce prints with a strong colour cast that does not match the original colour file.  This colour cast can be particularly apparent in skin tones, completely ruining a beautiful shot.  I have tested this completely using 3 different images and getting them printed at all the places listed as well as my own Pro Lab and the examples speak for themselves. I have them available for you to see at your Ordering Appointment so you can see firsthand, the differences are amazing!

Pro lab prints are made using specific paper which is guaranteed to stand the test of time, lasting up to 200 years with minimal fading. You are guaranteed a better quality and more colour accurate image.  After all of the effort that went into planning, preparing for and taking part in a professional photography shoot, please do not underestimate the importance of purchasing a high-quality printed image.

Can I email you my Pinterest ideas or shots I've seen on other sites?

Yes, however I do appreciate ideas and inspiration, I will not replicate or copy someone else's work. I have spent time establishing my own style, so be sure you've looked through my site so you can get a feel for my images and see if we are a good fit. It is also my priority to keep babies safe, so I will not position your baby in any manner that I'm not comfortable with.

Can I purchase Gift Certificates or open a Gift Registry?

No, unfortunately I no longer offer this service.

How do I secure a booking?

Contact me through my website and I will require a your contract to be signed electronically and your non-refundable session fee to be paid in advance to secure your date in my diary. Your deposit can be paid via bank transfer or cash.

​

What happens if I need to cancel or postpone? People get sick and circumstances change meaning that occasionally cancellations or postponements are unavoidable.  I require as much notice as possible for changes to our booking and I will show you the same courtesy. I require payment of the session fee upon booking to hold your appointment and this will be forfeited in the case of an outright cancellation. Subject to availability, I am more than happy to reschedule due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
